

John Louis “Jack” Dean, 79 of Homosassa, FL died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Hospice House of Citrus County in Lecanto. Born Oct. 5, 1931 in Newark, NJ and moved to Homosassa 12 years ago from Allamuchy, NJ. John graduated from Bloomfield NJ High School in 1949, received his BS degree from Lehigh University in 1953, MBA degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1963, MBA degree from New York University in 1970 and advanced management degree from Columbia University in 1969.
His career in marketing and sales included VP Beneficial Management Corp. Planning and Research, VP of Great Atlantic and Tea Co., VP Newspaper Advertising Bureau, Sn. Director for McGraw-Edison Corp. and VP of Marking and Sales for Tiffany Computer Systems. He was a Capt. in the Army during the Korean War. A member of the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, Who’s Who in America 1995-1996, Lehigh University Asa Packer and Tower Societies, V. Chairman of SCORE Citrus County Chapter, Sugarmill Woods and Southern Woods Country Club and Sugarmill Woods Civic Association. His interests included golf, boating, travel, investments, teaching and for eight years was on the adjunct faculties of Fairleigh Dickinson, Steton Hall Grad School and New York University.
John is survived by his wife of 23 years Susan M, Dean of Homosassa; son John Louis Dean and wife Pat of Lafayette, NJ; daughters Debarah Dean of Chadds Ford, PA and Laurie Dean and her husband William Aiman of Homosassa; grandchildren, Melissa Dean, John Dean and William Aiman.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a. m., Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church of Homosassa with Pastor Mark Whittaker officiating. Burial will follow at Fero Memorial Gardens in Beverly Hills. Friends will be received from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Fri., Dec. 10 at Wilder Funeral Home. Condolence may be given at www.wilderfuneral.com
