John H. Grabler, 91, of Homosassa, passed away on Mon., Sept. 16, 2013 at his home. A native of New York, N.Y., he was born Feb. 2, 1922 to John L. and Celia A. (Groeber) Grabler, one of two children. His professional life entailed traveling the world building coal power plants as a mechanical engineer and project manager. Mr. Grabler was a WW II U.S. Army veteran, a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of L.O.O.M. #2013 (Loyal Order of Moose), Crystal River. He moved to Homosassa from Hernando Beach 14 years ago and was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Carol E. Grabler, on Aug. 23, 2011 and a sister, Celia Schneider. John is survived by his children Charles Headley (wife Anna); Karen Osborne (husband Mike) and Candy Ducharme; grandchildren Eric, Becky, Charles and Michelle and several great grandchildren. Funeral Service of Remembrance will be held on Fri., Sept. 20, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa with Chaplain Larry Strickland of Hospice of Citrus and The Nature Coast officiating.
