John A. McKenzie

John A. McKenzie, 88 of Homosassa, FL died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River. Born Aug. 29, 1922 in Jersey City, NJ, son of the late George and Lillian McKenzie. He moved to Homosassa 5 years ago from Port St Lucie, FL. John retired after 35 years of service as Dept. Manager for the General Service Administration. He was a Army Air Corps veteran of WWI, member of St Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church and the Homosassa Lions Auxiliary Club.

Preceded in death by his wife Patricia Mary McKenzie.

Survived by his sons James J. McKenzie of Port St Lucie and John P. McKenzie of New Port Richey; daughters Kathleen Park of Crystal River and Helen Dowd of Homosassa; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren

A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m., Sun., Feb 27, 2011 at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs. Friends will be received Sun. from 1 p. m., until the hour of service.
