John C. Mounts

John C. Mounts, 88, of Homosassa, Fl. Passed away April 27, 2014. A native of Hardy, KY He was a long time resident of the area. Mr. Mounts served his country in the US Navy and moved to Illinois to start a new chapter in his life in Commercial Forging of Steel. He was an Upset Operator for the steel mill and President of The Local Chapter of The Steel Workers Union and avid organizer fighting for people’s rights. Other memberships include being a Life Member of the Moose Lodge since 1973 He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years Bonnie; 2 sons, Gregory and Johnnie; and a grandson Tommy Boggs. He leaves behind 2 daughters Dianna S. Boggs of Chicago, IL. And Connie J Simon (husband, Tom) of Oak lawn, IL; grandson, John E. Boggs of Chicago, IL. Graveside services will be held Thursday 11 am at Fountains Memorial Park, Homosassa, fl. Wilder Funeral Home
