Joyce E. "Jodie" Payne

Joyce E. “Jodie” Payne, 76, of Crystal River, Florida, passed away on Wed., Sept. 2, 2015 at Citrus Health and Rehab Center, Inverness, FL. A native of Atlanta, GA, she was born July 16, 1939 to George and Mildred (Brown) Cawhern, one of four children. Jodie, as she was known to many, moved to Crystal River from Panama City, FL, where she had lived for ten years. She was a retired executive legal secretary, serving several corporations during her life. Mrs. Payne is survived by her six children: Robert Mullinax (wife Erin), Savannah, GA; Chris Mullinax (wife Michelle), Wilmington, NC; Jimmie Ware (wife Andrea), Atlanta, GA; Annie McGehee, Barbara Mullinax and Bridgett Mailloux (husband Ronald), all of Crystal River; brother George Cawhern, Crystal River; eleven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two more great grandchildren on the way.In addition to her parents, Mrs. Payne was preceded in death by her siblings, Barbara Ann Brown and Bud Cawhern.
