Kenneth Wayne "Ken" Adams

Kenneth Wayne Adams, 63, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Tues., May 29, 2018 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center, Crystal River, FL. A native of Dothan, AL, he was born Aug. 4, 1954 to Manuel Preston and Mary Ellen (Dickerson) Adams, one of four children. Ken, as he was known to many, was a general contractor and the owner and operator of Ken Adams Insulation and Drywall of Homosassa, a company he began 38 years ago. Ken was an active and faithful member of Crystal River Church of God and a member of the Citrus County Builder's Association and Habitat For Humanity. Ken sponsored many community sports teams in Citrus County, and portrayed Santa Claus each holiday season for his community's needy children. For many years, he also created a Christmas Village at his home for the enjoyment of all. Mr. Adams was also an organ donor and a devoted Gator fan. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel Preston Adams and is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Diane Adams, Homosassa; his mother, Mary Hart, Wildwood, FL; children Kevin Adams; Eliza Mae Natteal (husband C.J.); Derek Adams; Kenneth Wayne Adams, Jr.; Zoey Ann Adams; Howard Gunn III and April Gunn; grandchildren Eleanor, Neal, Marya, S.J., Seth, Myla, Logan and Zaydin; sister Lynda Leopard (husband Jim), North Carolina; brother Roger Adams (wife Melinda), Homosassa and sister Terri Coffman, Belleview, FL and six nieces and nephews.
