Lori Gayle (Bomar) Watson, 59, of Inverness, FL, passed away on Fri., March 15, 2024 at her parents’ home. Lori was born in Ocala, FL on Nov. 22, 1964 to Carson and Jimmie (Powell) Bomar, one of three children. Lori attended Crystal River Middle School and graduated in 1983 from Crystal River High School. She had a passion for music and that led her to play the flute in the middle school and high school bands. Lori always had music playing. A lifelong homemaker, Lori’s perfect day would include any family gatherings and road trips to the beach, digging her toes into the sand and listening to the sound of the waves. As an avid football fan, Lori enjoyed watching her brothers play football in school, as well as watching her son Alan’s football games. She was also a huge NASCAR fan and the only driver that ever existed for her was Richard Petty. Lori was Methodist by faith, but in recent years began watching live streamed services of Gulf To Lake Baptist Church in Crystal River, and experienced much comfort in hearing Rev. Lloyd Bertine’s messages. Much of her life had been spent in Citrus County, but she had also lived in Pahokee, on Lake Okeechobee. Lori was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pat and Louise Powell, and her paternal grandparents, Carson and Dorothy (Thomasson) Bomar. She is survived by her two sons; Carson Dewitt Watson and Alan Jarrett Watson, both of Inverness, FL; her parents Carson and Jimmie (Powell) Bomar, Crystal River, FL; grandchildren Kylie and Liam Watson, Inverness, FL, as well as her brothers; Carson Burke Bomar (wife Dena), Brandon, FL and Michael Bomar (wife Robyn), Peoria, AZ. Friends will be received on Sat., April 6, 2024 from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M. at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa, where a Celebration of Life will commence at 1:00 P.M. with Rev.
