Milton Lee Whitson, 89 of Homosassa, FL died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at Hospice House of Citrus County in Lecanto. He was born April 1, 1922 in Norfolk, VA. He retired as a Mechanical Supervisor for Panama Canal Locke Division and moved to Homosassa in 1983 from Columbia. He was a Merchant Marine veteran of WWII.
Milton is survived by his wife Elena Whitson of Homosassa; son Mel L. Whitson of Palm Bay, FL; daughters Betty Ketterman of Norfolk, VA and Mela Peterson of Palm Coast, FL; sister, Hazel Poyner of Norfolk; 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
