Nunzio (Tony) Louis Principe, 88, of Homosassa, FL entered eternal life on Wednesday December 12, 2018. He was born January 7, 1930 in New York, New York. He is survived by his loving wife Anita, his four sons – James, Mark, Glenn and John, 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Nunzio graduated Union Hill High School in 1949 where he lettered in football and met the love of his life, Anita Grace Gillman. He served in the US Navy Reserves during the Korean Conflict. He was employed by Pipefitters Union Local 274, retiring in 1993 as a supervisor. Nunzio and Anita were married September 29, 1952 and lived in North Bergen, NJ before moving to Brick, NJ in 1962. He was a board member, usher and regular attendee at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Manasquan New Jersey. His love of the Lord was evident in his daily walk. He was involved in township sports programs, coaching his son’s baseball and soccer teams. He moved to Homosassa, Florida in 2003 with his wife Anita to retire in the sunshine. He loves his four boys (James, Mark, Glenn and John) and always made time to play catch in the street, toss the football around, dribble a soccer ball across the yard, or have a candid conversation. He always made time for his family, enjoyed boating, fishing and reading, was an avid fan of the New York Giants and Yankees, had a love of animals (especially his dogs) and the history of Native American Indian culture. His sound wisdom, laughter, forthright comments and loving example will be sorely missed. His legacy resides in the hearts and minds of those lucky enough to have known this wonderful human being.
Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8
