Peter Joseph Lee, 89, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 10, 2019. A native of Galway, Ireland, he was born December 1, 1929 to Peter and Bridget (McDonough) Lee. Peter emigrated to the Boston area at the age of 17, then served his country honorably in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr. Lee served the city of Randolph, MA as a police officer and also served as a member of security at General Dynamics Corp. in Quincy, MA. Finally, he retired as Vice President of State Street Bank, also in Quincy. Peter moved to Homosassa over 20 years ago from Randolph and loved golf and traveling. Mr. Lee was also a talented and accomplished handyman and was a faithful parishioner of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa. in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Lee, and his beloved wife of 52 years, Patricia C. Lee, on Nov. 12, 2006. He is survived by his four children: Patricia Lee "Patty Ann" DeNisco, Braintree, MA; Kathy Lee, Lecanto, FL and sons Peter and Michael Lee, both of Brockton, MA; grandchildren Nicole, Christopher and Jennifer; sister Bridie Jennings (husband Tom), Dedham, MA and numerous other siblings all living in the United Kingdom, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Mon., Jan. 21, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL, where a wake service will take place at 6:45 P.M. with Fr. Greg Andrews officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tues., Jan. 22, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. from St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Glenn Diaz, Celebrant.
