Raymond L. Osburn, 77, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at his home. A native of Galveston, TX, he was born Jan. 20, 1940 to Richard and Edith (Sisk) Osburn. Raymond proudly served his country in the United States Army and then enjoyed a long career as a chemist with Owens Corning Fiberglass until his retirement. Fishing and golf were his favorite hobbies and his family and friends were dear to his heart. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Doris; daughter Deb and son-in-law Rob and grandchildren Ryan, Savannah and Baylee; sister-in-law Barbara Berger; as well as his furry friends Maggie and Katy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Osburn, in 1987. There will be no service, however donations are requested by his family to Hernando-Pasco Hospice or Dawes Arboretum Development Fund, 7770 Jacksontown Road, Newark, Ohio 43056.
