

Robert F. Hopkins of Homosassa, FL died Sun., April 1st, 2012 at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness. He was born in Owosso, MI and moved to Homosassa in 1984 from Kalamazoo, MI. Dr. Hopkins received his bachelor’s, masters and doctorate degrees from Michigan State University. He was director for the counseling center at the University of Toledo and a professor of Psychology at Western University of Michigan.
Robert was a member St Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church and a Navy veteran of WWII. He was a member of the American Psychological Association, State Board of Psychology of Michigan, former board member of the Marion-Citrus Mental Health Association, former board member of the Sugarmill Woods Property Association, and a member of the Arts Center of Citrus County.
He is survived by his wife Frances T. Hopkins of Homosassa; daughter Pamela Kaye (Joseph) Gosla, of Jonesville, MI and granddaughter A. J. Gosla of Jonesville.
A memorial mass will be held 10:30 am, Wed., April 11, 2012 at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr Ronald Marecki celebrant. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery Thursday, April 12th at 10:30 am.
