Robert E. Yost, Sr., 84, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Wed., Sept. 22, 2021 at his home. A native of East Liverpool, OH, he was born Jan. 27, 1937 to Lert and Esther (Kyle) Yost, one of six children. Bob, as he was known to everyone, served his country honorably and proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1956, serving at Cape Gefu in Japan. He was the former owner and operator for over 20 years of Redwing Disposal in Citrus County, along with his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret A. (Trotter) Yost, who survives him. Bob's greatest passion in life was surrounding himself with his children and grandchildren every chance he could, and especially loved family gatherings at his camp in Gulf Hammock, FL. In addition to his parents, Mr. Yost was preceded in death by all of his siblings; Howard, Robert, Dorothy, Lert and Lilly. He is survived by his eleven children Tim Yost (Iva), Rick Takach, Robert E. Yost, Jr. (Charlene), all of Homosassa; Debbie Ellingham (Bill), New Port Richey, FL; Sherri Lynn Sarneski, Akron, OH; Dale Head (Kimberly), Homosassa; Keith Head (Lisa), Johnston, Rhode Island; Mark Head (Kim) and Misty Baldner (Russ), both of Homosassa; Rocky Yost (Jolene), Akron, OH and Tony Yost, Canal Fulton, OH and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Bear. Friends will be received on Mon., Sept. 27, 2021 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M. at Christian Center Church in Homosassa, where a Celebration Of Life will begin at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Jason Hanks officiating. Military Honors will immediately follow in the church with Honors rendered by the United States Marine Corps and the Citrus County All Veterans Honor Guard.
