Ruth Rosella Underwood, 84 of Hudson, Florida formerly of Homosassa died Sunday, November 28, 2010 in Hudson. Born December 19, 2010 in Hillsdale, Indiana and moved to Homosassa in 1980 from Danville, Illinois. Ruth was a seamstress and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to her parents Oscar and Florence (Lyday) Sykes she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years William Underwood and son Ronnie Underwood.
Ruth is survived by sons David Underwood of Tampa, Florida and Bill and his wife Mary Underwood of Danville, Indiana; daughters Mary Gulu of Brooksville, Florida and Gloria Underwood of Veedersburg, Indiana; sisters Charlotte Henderson of Danville and Donna Carver of Crystal River; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 11 a. m., Wednesday, December 1st, at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa Springs, Florida. Burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. Friends will received Wednesday from 10 a. m. until the hour of service.
In lieu of flowers donation may be given in memory of Ruth to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
