Sharon June Martin

Mrs. Sharon June Martin, born January 5, 1948 in St. Louis, MO, passed away suddenly on the evening of July 15, 2026 at her home in Homosassa, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Shirley (Hartman) Antal, and her parents-in-law James and Joan (Cody) Martin.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Ricky Martin, whom she married on November 20, 1971. They were blessed with three children: Daniel Jason Martin (Nancy), Timothy Bryan Martin (Frances), and Ericka Whitney Pierce (Patrick); three grandchildren: Zofia Grace, Zachary Allan, and Penelope Rose; two step-grandchildren: Patrick Cale and Violet Elizabeth Ann; one brother, David Antal (Mary); one sister, Deborah Bledsoe (Gary); two brothers-in-law: Robert "Bob" Martin (Kathy) and Michael Martin (Kimala); two sisters-in-law: Peggy Mitchell (Kelly) and Sandy Martin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sharon graduated from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, Missouri, with a degree in Education. She taught for four years at Ritenour High School before turning her focus to raising her children. Once they reached middle and high school, she returned to work at Tri-Cor Industries, where she remained until her retirement in 2014.,

Rick and Sharon chose Homosassa, FL as their retirement home, where they enjoyed playing bridge with friends in their retirement community. Over the years, Sharon also found joy in sewing, crafts, reading, fishing and traveling. She cherished her time spent with her children and grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa with Fr. J. Glenn Diaz, Celebrant. Interment will be private.
