Sharon Kay Strain

Sharon Kay Strain, 62, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Sat., Oct. 12, 2019 at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, FL. A native of Detroit, MI, she was born July 3, 1957 to Marvin and Kathryn (Long) Bragg, one of four children. Sharon moved to Citrus County in 2000 from Tampa, FL and her passions in life included her family and playing bingo and backgammon. Sharon was a Christian woman who enjoyed church and was very right with God and lived her life according to the Lord’s word. She was a professional cabinetmaker and worked at Superior Cabinets in Lecanto for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William and Mark Bragg. Sharon is survived by her children Misty Perkins, Floral City, FL; Jeremiah “J.B.” Strain, Homosassa, FL; Shane Wright, Goodyear, AZ; April Marshall, Ansonia, OH; grandchildren Kathryn and Cody Colson (fiancé Samantha), both of Floral City, FL; Jeremiah Strain, also of Floral City, FL; William Potter, Homosassa, FL and Kayleigh Perkins, Floral City, FL; great grandchildren Ryder Jefferson, Luci Phillips, and Kayson Colson, yet to be born; brother Mike Bragg, Palestine, OH; Sharon’s life partner for the past 20 years, James Wallace, Homosassa, FL; lifelong friend and special sister for 47 years, Paula Fields, Castine, OH; nephews Billy Gragg and James Hildabrant and nieces Lacey Bragg and Angie Logan; as well as other extended family members who Sharon considered grandchildren or nieces and nephews: Angela Rogers, Kevin Smith, Pamela Wallace, Amy Wallace, Hannah and Colton Martin; Wallace and Joshua Swenson; Austin Jefferson and his fiancé Kathryn; Tyler Bragg and Brandon Parrish; Derek Neukam, Junior Noble and Camille Strain.
