Thomas Oliviera Cavaco Sr., 77 of Floral City, FL died Tuesday at Citrus Memorial Hospital – Inverness. He was born in Portugal and moved to Rhode Island in 1954 and finally moved to Florida in 1989. He worked for Beatrice Jewelry Company in Pawtucket, Rhode Island as a designer, also for an American Insulated Wire Company in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, boat marina in Providence, Rhode Island and Teknor Apex molding company in Pawtucket, Rhode Island . He is preceded in death by his son, Thomas O. Cavaco Jr. He was disabled since 1983, he leaves his serving wife of 53 years, Maria (Carvalho) Cavaco; daughter, Linda (Cavaco) Belcastro and her husband, Anthony Belcastro of Floral City; grandchildren, Anthony Belcastro Jr. of Floral City, Amberlyn (Belcastro) Borgia of Inverness, FL, Brenton Thomas Belcastro of Inverness, FL, Thomas O. Belcastro of Floral City, FL, Christopher J. Belcastro of Floral City, FL, and Tabatha O. Cavaco of R.I.; Amberlyn's husband, Jeremy Borgia of Inverness, FL; great grandchildren, Allison Belcastro of Lecanto, FL and Elie Belcastro of St. Petersburg, FL; sisters, Margarida Fernandes, Zelia Brennan of Bellingham, MA, Luiza Manignone of Providence, Rhode Island, Elene Rose of East Providence, RI, Anna Almeida of Pawtucket, RI, Beverly Tavares of Gainesville, FL; brother, Billy Cavaco of Floral City, FL . A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28th at 12 pm until mass begins at Our Lady Fatima in Inverness, FL at 1 p.m. He will be entombed at Fountains Memorial Park in Homosassa, FL afterwards.
