Voncile T. Daugherty, 80 of Homosassa, Florida died Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at Hospice House in Lecanto, Florida. Born in Moultrie, Georgia, December 21, 1929, daughter of the late Homer and Alma (Selph) Tyson. She moved to Homosassa in 1977 from Lakeland, Florida. She was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by her husband Julian Daugherty on August 19, 2004, they were married on August 23, 1947.
Survived by 3 sons, Troy A. (Mary) Daugherty of Cameron, North Carolina, Jessie R. Daugherty of Homosassa, Florida and Gary D. (Linda) Daugherty of Homosassa; 2 brothers, Milton Buddy Tyson and Billy Wayne Tyson both of Lakeland; 2 sisters, Virginia Tyson Dean of St Augustine, Florida and Lavon Tyson Adams of Lakeland; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p. m., Monday, August 23, 2010 at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. Interment will follow at Fountains Memorial Park. Condolence may be given at www.wilderfuneral.com.
