He was born Sept. 15, 1954 to Earl Ralph and
Maidene Elizabeth (Snow) Mongeon, one of two children.
Bill grew up in Randolph VT and served his country in the
United States Navy from 1975 to 1977.
Upon his honorable discharge,
he began his higher education, earning his Associate Degree from
Vermont Technical College. Later in life he earned his Bachelor’s
Degree in Finance and Accounting from Franklin Pierce College,
followed by his Master’s Degree in Business
Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Bill worked as a scientist/engineer and a self
employed contractor and moved to Homosassa, FL four years ago from
the Concord, NH area, where he had lived for many years. Bill loved golf
and could hit golf balls for hours on the driving range. He loved going
to professional golf tournaments and especially enjoyed recent trips
to Naples watching the LPGA play at Tiburon. He always looked
forward to the fall season and watching football on Sunday. He was a
huge Patriots fan and once he arrived in Florida, he became an instant
Bucs fan. He was an avid Formula 1 racing fan.
He enjoyed riding his bike early in the morning on local
trails, and taking his BMW convertible out for a drive in the country.
Bill was a cat lover, and treated his “kitty cats” as if they were
his children. He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived
by his beloved wife Robin M. Mongeon of Homosassa, FL; his brother
Steve Mongeon (wife Diane) of Sebring, FL and cousins Sheila
Sprague Connolly, Susan Sprague Foley, Doug Sprague and Sally
Sprague, all of Vermont.
