Our Mother Albertina Louise Iopa-Eli otherwise known as "Tutu" entered eternal life on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the age of 78.
Louise was born on September 25, 1942. She is survived by her children Tina Iopa, Joseph Iopa Ill and lpo Iopa; hanai daughters Fran and Dorothy (Mel); her grandchildren Michelle (Chris), Kaleo (Michelle), Beth (Anton), Kaulana (Casey), Aza (Fonso), Shyenne, Lexie, Silas and Shylo (Jose); great-grandchildren Ramsey-Rein, Reiven-James and Alia as well as her hanai grandchildren Ashley, Kelsey, Khodey, Aomalo and Khailey Ishikawa. She is also survived by her siblings Albert, Dicky, Larry, Glen and Cheryl. Numerous family and friends are not mentioned who loved her as well.
Tutu loved to garden, shop at Ross and travel to Las Vegas, but most of all she was a collector of all sorts of items that she left behind that we have no idea what to do with. She also liked to share many stories with whoever had the time to listen.
Although she battled with many ailments and her body breaking down, she consistently showed up to work at Waianae Intermediate School as an Educational Assistant.
In her later years what she loved the most was her "home" being the "gathering place" for family get-togethers. Tutu loved being around everyone and spending time with those she loved dearly.
What will be missed the most about her besides her love is her presence. God blessed us with an "Amazing Mom and Tutu". May she continue to watch over us and guide us as we continue on this journey called life. Until we meet again, your love we will cherish and you will forever be in our hearts. "ALWAYS REMEMBERED, NEVER FORGOTTEN!"
A Celebration of Life will come at a later time.
