

Born August 3, 1916, in the Village of Hamakuapoko on the island of Maui to Manuel Gouveia and Mary Fernandez, before settling in the lush Valley of Kalihi. He worked for the Board of Water Supply and was a retired State Worker. He was also well known for his masonry skills. Tony was a long time member of the Mason & Plasters Union United Public Workers.
Survivors include Brothers-Eddie Abru and Louis Borges. Children- Clarence Gouveia and Charlotte Momosea. 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Tony was preceded in death by brothers Manuel Gouveia, Henry Costa, George Costa, Flora Costa and Beatrice Borges.
Services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Our Lady of the Mount in Kalihi.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m.
Services: 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.
