I’m Tess Mangiliman Simon, 
Reconnected with  Ating Belle  in Hawaii  in May of ‘69.   While waiting for the navy housing to come thru, we stayed at the bottom level of 1682-A Hauiki St. prior to the renovation. 
My husband Lito was in the Navy. 

I’m a not so distant cousin but was one of her  best friends  I considered Steven and Brian my nephews, and James a close cousin. .We both worked at  Queens and and Kuakini

She was fondly called  Mrs “A” at Kuakini and very well liked.

We talked, cooked worked and shopped  together most of the time. We never did run out of topic.  It helped that we had similar likes. 
After moving to the Bay Area in ‘76, we continued to talk on the phone. No emails or txting.   She was not a fan  of electronics. 😂

We continued to chat on the phone after. An hour is nothing to her. 
For theses memories it will be so hard to not reach for the phone and call her. I will miss so much “Pisan” .Eternal rest grant unto you o Lord and let perpetual light shine upon you.May you  Rest In Peace.❤️🌺🙏

Auntie Belle will always be in our hearts for the amazing and wonderful person she was.  Her bright smile, the kindness in her eyes and the immediate connection she made with you always made our Get-Togethers personal and fun.  We remember her today and always as the spirit of love and friendship and treasure the times we spent with her over our lifetimes.

Auntie Belly, as we loving called her, always had a beautiful smile when she greeted you.  I loved visiting her home in Hawaii and going to her parties.   She will be dearly missed, but will always have a place in my heart♡  Love Always from the Capati Family
