Chief Petty Officer Carlos Oliveras 1960 – 2026
Chief Petty Officer Carlos Oliveras, 65, of Pearl City, Hawaii, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of April 16th, surrounded by his family.
Carlos was born in Painesville, Ohio, and graduated from Harvey High School. He proudly served 24.5 years in the U.S. Navy. After his military career, Carlos continued to serve in a civilian capacity, working in telecommunications with various corporations supporting the military before retiring from AT&T in 2025.
As a member of Koolau Baptist Church, his viewing and service will be held there on Saturday, May 2nd. Viewing from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m., with the service to follow directly after.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Oliveras; his daughter, Mitsuko Pennington and son-in-law, Matthew Pennington; his siblings, Francisco Oliveras, Carmen Janke, Myrna Lee, and Daniel Oliveras; and his stepfather, Domingo Ramos.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in his name to Navian Hawaii Hospice, in gratitude for the compassionate care they provided.
He will be deeply missed.
