Aloha John,
My deepest sympathy to you and your family -- I am so shocked and saddened to learn of the passing of Carolyn.  She was one of the first managers I worked for at IBM and she helped me professionally as well as personally.  We had some fun lunches together when she gave me advice.  I was honored that we kept in touch as she was promoted and traveled across the U.S.  Unfortunately, we lost contact as time went on.  So when I learned she had passed on, I was so shocked.  There are so many fun memories of Carolyn and I hope it will help to know that she will be missed by quite a lot of people.  She shared with me info about her travels to Europe and I will smile whenever someone tells me how great Tanqueray on the rocks tastes. My condolences, John to you and your family.

I am so very saddened to learn of the passing of Carolyn.  She was one of the first managers I worked for at IBM and I can say that she definitely contributed to my success as she helped me both personally and professionally.  She would "summon" me to her office so we would go out to  lunch and have helpful discussions which turned out to be so much fun. It was wonderful to keep in touch, especially when you were promoted to positions in Los Angeles, then Connecticut.  I'm sorry that we had lost touch so I was so shocked to learn of your loss of Carolyn. There are many good memories of Carolyn.

I worked for Carolyn at IBM.  She was a wonderful person and an important mentor to me professionally and personally.  I'm so very sorry to hear of her passing.  My deepest condolences to her entire family.

John, I'm very sorry to hear about your loss of Carolyn. I've never met her and only met you once when I was with your mother several years ago. Your mother expressed her great delight about Carolyn becoming your wife many years ago. I'm praying for you and your family during this difficult time and in time, you will smile as you think about Carolyn. With sincere sympathies, Margaret Dodge (your mother's red-haired deaf student from 1960 to 1963 & always been close with me. I'm in Kaneohe with my mother now.)

You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.  Besides being cousins, Carolyn and I shared a passion for family history, and she was so good at analyzing the information and sharing her knowledge and references.  I was very much looking forward to getting together with Carolyn after tax season this year to spend more time working on our shared family history.  It is so sad that she has left our presence way too soon.  Her spirit will remain in our hearts forever and inspire us to live each day to the fullest.  May God give you comfort and peace as you mourn her passing.
