Its almost ur birthday, & this will be the first birthday without you, I miss u dad sooooo much, I love you and think about u all the time, I will visit u on ur birthday. I remember so many memories of you and the time we spent together, especially the last 6 months we had together, I love u with all my heart.

I love you Dad, I think of you often and wish you didn't leave so soon. I wish you could've been here with us for Tiara's wedding this year Fall 2013. Although you will not be here in person... I know you will be in all of our hearts and minds.  Miss you so much!!!! You're daughter Miki.

Mr. Chun, may you rest in peace and may the Lord bless your family and friends. I write this short message because I had the honor of working with your daughter and I think if I met her, it was like meeting you. There is a famous saying,"our children are our reflection of ourselves." Amen.

It's been two months since you left us and passed... I am sorry that it took me so long to write this for you... I miss you Dad, as I reflect on all the times as I grew up with you, I can only think of all the love and effort that you put towards me and my sisters and brothers as we were growing up and becoming adults ourselves.  I realize now, why you did what you did as we were growing up...there were many times I didn't understand why you treated us that way, but now I do...and all I can say is, "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being such a great and wonderful Dad." I will cherish all the good and bad times we had because it made me the person I am today, responsible, caring, loving, tenacious,giving (without expecting in return) and understanding just like my Dad. For all those people who had the privilage to know my father you know exactly what I'm talking about. He was the kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it without expecting anything in return.  It is my hope my children will someday speak of me in the manner that I have done for my father and hold me in such high regard.  You are missed dearly Dad and I know you are smiling down on us all everyday.  Love you always and forever,

Clarence Jun Chong “Junie” Chun, 75, of Honolulu, a retired U.S. Postal Service mail carrier and an Air Force veteran, died in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by son Phillip; daughters Celena “Tiny” De Ponte, Darchelle “Miki” King and Jeanine “Peanuts” Chun; brothers Calvin and Clement; sisters Betty Ayala and Beverly Agulay; and eight grandchildren.
