

Education/Work History: Salutatorian at Ozawkie (KS) Rural High, graduating in 1945. Awarded a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Washburn University, Topeka, Kansas in 1949. Taught High School music in Denison, KS from 1949-1951 and provided private piano instruction to students in Honolulu from 1967-1999.
Musical Activities: Sang alto and contralto in Milwaukee A Capella Choristers and The Amarillo (TX) Chorus; served as choir director at Karamursel AFB Chapel (Turkey), Pearl Harbor Lutheran Church & Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, the latter from 1988 to her retirement in 2008; was a featured soloist and cantor at Temple Emanu-el Synagogue (Honolulu); sang with Tulsa Opera Chorus and appeared in over 100 Tulsa Symphony Chorus, The Honolulu Chorale, the Honolulu Symphony Chorus and The Don Allton Singers. Life Member of Sigma Alpha lota (SAI), international professional music fraternity.
Other Activites: Raised and handled AKC Cocker Spaniels (Honolulu) from 1967-2005.
