Douglas Quejas “Doug” Berbano, 83, of Aiea, Hawaii, formerly of Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2026, at Pali Momi Medical Center. Born October 7, 1942, in Aparri, he came to Hawaii through the U.S. Navy, served in Vietnam, and became a proud U.S. citizen.
He married Frances in 1969 and lovingly raised seven children as his own. Known for his kindness, his generosity, and a smile no one ever forgot, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, 7 children, 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Oahu Veterans Center, 1298 Kukila Street, Honolulu, in Foster Village.
