Doug Davidson, 68, of Searcy, Arkansas, passed away on April 19, 2025 at Providence Assisted Living. He was born January 17, 1957 in Los Angeles, California to Ken and Margaret Davidson, who preceded him in death.
Doug was born autistic and totally blind, but his challenges never stopped him from achieving extraordinary things. He attended Crowley’s Ridge College then earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee. His passion for music was unmatched: though he never took a piano lesson, he could play any song by ear. He also memorized the entire Bible, a feat that amazed everyone who knew him. Known for his incredible memory, he never forgot a birthday and always made sure to celebrate those close to him. The highlights of his week were the twice a week devotionals at Providence brought by the Westside Church of Christ.
Doug was one of the kindest souls you could ever meet. He was loved deeply by his family, including his two brothers, Don Davidson of Tyler, Texas and Dr. Dan Davidson of Searcy, Arkansas.
A special thanks to Dr. J.R. Davidson and the caring staff at Family Practice Associates and Providence Assisted Living.
Doug will be interred with his parents at the Hawaii State Veteran’s Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii on Monday June 02, 2025 11:00 AM.
