Elizabeth Abel Robinson
July 2, 1931 – January 1, 2018
Elizabeth (Beth) Abel Robinson, 86, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died peacefully in her sleep on January 1st, 2018 from complications following a stroke.

Beth was born in Los Angeles, California on July 2, 1931. She graduated from North Hollywood High, received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Scripps College, and a second bachelor’s degree in accounting from Chaminade University in Honolulu.
Beth was married to Thomas Abel, then to Alexander Fisher III, and then to Richard Robinson (all deceased).
As an artist, Beth worked as an animator for Disney, had a puppet show broadcast on television, has painted in watercolor, oil and acrylic, designed sets for the Hawaii Opera Theatre and Diamond Head Theater. At the Piano, Beth was at home with popular songs and show tunes as with Chopin. An accomplished fiber artist, Beth has been recognized for her weavings, knitting and needlepoint works in several juried shows. The Hawaii Handweavers Hui conferred to Beth the title of Kumu Weaver. Beth is survived by sons Forrest Abel, Miller Abel, and Jay Abel, stepdaughters Lindy Colpo and Sarah Robinson, stepsons Peter Robinson, Nathaniel Robinson, Timothy Robinson, Alexander (Sandy) Fisher, and other family and friends.
Beth is preceded in death by her son Scott Abel.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Nature Conservancy of Hawaii. The family of Elizabeth Abel Robinson wishes to thank Hospice Hawaii for their thoughtful guidance in Beth’s last days.
