Ellen Yuck Moy Chang Goo was born in Honolulu, Hawai'i, to Lee Chang and Hoong Sin Leong Chang. She lived a full and meaningful life for 106 years. She graduated from Farrington High School in 1939 as a member of its first graduating class. She also attended Central Intermediate School and Princess Ka'iulani Elementary School.
Ellen worked at Technicolor as a photo processor and retired after 14 years of service. She will be fondly remembered for her kind nature, gentle spirit, and deep love for her family. Above all, Ellen cherished her family and took great joy in the generations that followed her.
She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond Kau Goo, and her siblings, Herbert Chang, Marquis Chang, Raymond Chang, Florence Wong, and Rose Fujii.
Ellen is survived by her son, Reginald Goo, and daughter, Stephanie Hashimoto; her grandchildren, Tiffany Wright (Don), Gannon Goo, Janine Granito (Jeremy), Katrina Hashimoto, and Keith Hashimoto (Hope); and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on August 21, 2026, at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel, 1330 Maunakea Street, Honolulu, Hawaii. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., with services at 11:00 a.m. followed by lunch.
