Survived by his wife, Carmelita; sons, Joseph and Melvin “Douglas”; father, Elmer Arnold Emerson; sisters, Ruth Oertel and Joyce Herbort. Visitation 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday (5/12) at Borthwick Mortuary Makai Chapel; service 6:30 p.m. Inurnment services 2:00 p.m. Friday (5/14) at The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.
