

HARRIET “SISTER” KELIIHAKANOALANI CHAN DeLONG, age 89, of Honolulu, passed away on April 6, 2011 at Kuakini Medical Center. Born on March 10, 1922, she was the second child of Kemelia Holt and Harry Chan. She spent most of her childhood years being raised on the Waianae Coast and attended Roosevelt High School. She married Alan Wessel in 1939 and had three beautiful children, Lucille, Allen G.K. Wessel and Pauline. In 1951, she married Raymond DeLong and both moved to Torrence, Calilfornia where they spent most of their lives together. In 2002, they moved back home to Hawaii, and in 2006, Raymond DeLong passed on. Harriet was a former owner of H & R Janitorial Service.
Survived by daughter, Lucille “BabyDee” Vesper, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation 9:00-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Borthwick Mortuary-Mauka Chapel. Service 10:30 a.m. and burial 1:00 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe, Hawaii. Flowers are welcome. Casual attire requested.
