James A. Cremins Jr.

James A Cremins (Jim) passed away in Honolulu on 05/11/23. Jim was born in Alexandria Virginia on October 5th, 1944. His lifelong career was in foodservice distribution with stops in Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, Arkansas, and lastly in Hawai‘i. Later as a consultant he worked with businesses in North Carolina, Illinois, New Jersey, Florida, Texas, and California.

He is survived by his three sisters, many nieces, and nephews and a very special “adopted” grandson and his wife. He was blessed to enjoy the last years of his life living the Aloha Spirit in Hawai‘i. A traditional Hawaiian Paddle Out will spread his ashes in the Pacific Ocean.

In tribute to Jim's commitment to aiding those in need, an endowment has been created at the University of Hawai‘i to assist students experiencing food insecurity.
