MC was a wonderful friend.  The end of an era.  One of the last old time fixers of anything mechanical, hydraulic or electrical. An excellent diesel mechanic, who could fix anything that was wrong with a diesel engine, transmission, electrical system, injectors, hydraulic steering.  He took pride in his work and always made sure that he completed a job to his customers' satisfaction.  He started a very successful business with his wife May who took care of the office while he did the work. Later joined by his sons Dennis and Leonard and daughter Yvonne.  His youngest daughter Sugar, while a teenager,  often rode around with him in his truck as he made service calls.  I started out as a customer but as time went on, privileged to call him a friend. Sometimes he came fishing with me in Kona, Honolulu and Niihau.  He taught me a lot about fixing things. MC is missed. Condolences to his wonderful family. Aloha, MC.

WH6AAY was one best friend i had, i used to bring my twin boys to the shop. He helped me get permit for my ham radio tower, We used to meet friends from the mainland and barbecue by Keehi Lagoon
