Hi Big Brother I never told you but I tried in many ways to be like you. You served as a good role model for me and I thank you. You also taught and protected me, but at the same time allowing me to grow as I began my teenage years. I am sorry if I was a "drag" when I was allowed to tag along with you but at least I was there. That airplane never interested as it did you so I found others things like comic books, etc to entertain me and still like reading today. As you soar with the Angels remember I did my best to be like you. Thank you Big Brother.

To Brock,

Your exit from this life will leave a void that is impossible for anyone else to fill. However the lessons you left with us will stay here forever. 

Thank you for your friendship for over 30 years.

Thank you for your support by always lending a hand. 

Thank you for being my fishing buddy. Of all the countless times fishing the camaraderie was the main reason for being on the lake. When we caught fish, that was just a bonus.

Thank you for all the wonderful meals.

Even though we're in different worlds now you will always be in heart and mind. It will leave me empty not seeing you across the table sharing a beer. So the next one I have will be in your honor and memory. You will be sorely missed.

Dear Dad,


I'm writing my reflections now because I know the day of... I'll be like how "President Obama responded about his daughters graduation, wearing my shades with waterfalls behind them".  These things always make me turn to a bowl of mush. 

Let's start with his love for fishing! Lived,breathed and ate fishing. From freshwater @ Lake Wilson to flying to Kauai.  Taking his boat out for ocean trolling etc. He did it. I'd love to say I participated but as many know I'd be busy feeding the fish rather than fishing. His live for fishing drove him to help the local schools raise, study, tag and repopulate Lake Wilson. They monitored the growth by catching, releasing and measuring. 

His love for sports goes without saying. Growing up in our house everyone had a team dad had the Rams,Dodgers and Lakers and  of course my brother and I had different teams to make rivalries in the house when games are played. 

What many didn't know that was one of my dad's passions was coin collecting. Growing up we collected, sorted and placed many coins in albums, plastics and holders. One thing we could always count on for Christmas was getting our yearly mint condition coin set.           

Thanks for reading my Dad's life reflections.  I'm sure I've missed a few oh like his cooking mmm. Forever in my heart... Love you till I see ya again.
