John Lopes, 89, of Aiea, Hawaii, passed away on September 3, 2014. He was born on the island of Maui, in the city of Makawao. John served in the Army and was a Fuel Dispatcher Operations General Foreman. He is survived by his wife, Lily Lopes; son, John "Matt" Lopes; daughters, Donna "Penny" Lopes, Pamela Lono, Janice Lopes, Johnadeen "Nicky" Lopes, and Joanne Lopes; brother, Joseph Pagan; sister, Madeline Kaho'ohanohano and Dorothy Santiago; 5 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral service will be on September 11, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be at 9:30am and service will begin at 11:00am. Burial to follow at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 1pm.
Casual attire is suggested.
