John Albert Nascimento

JOHN ALBERT “JACK” NASCIMENTO, 95, of Kailua, Oahu, passed away March 12, 2012 in Honolulu. He was born in Honolulu on January 5, 1917 to parents Abel Souza Nascimento and Julia Fernandez Nascimento. A graduate of St. Louis College, Class of 1935, he started working at Honolulu Iron Works as a delivery boy, and worked his way up to the #2 position as the Assistant General Manager of the company. He retired from Honolulu Iron Works after 40 years of service and worked for 5-6 years as a Sales Representative for Standard Steel Company in Hawaii before completely retiring.

He is survived by son, Albert “Roy” Nasicmento and his wife Judith; daughter, Marlene Santiago; 6 Grandchildren and 14 Great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at St. Stephen Church (2747 Pali Highway). Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. with burial to follow at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
