June “Sunny” Loo (96, Honolulu) passed on July 19, 2026. She graduated from Farrington High School (‘48), the University of Hawai’i, and Washington University. June was Medical Records Director of Children’s Hospital, a Medical Records Librarian at Kapiolani Medical Center, and retired in 1993. June enjoyed crafts, travel and family.
She is survived by daughter Maryanne Wong (Thomas); daughter-in-law Michele Yoshimoto Loo; grandchildren Stephanie Srun (Roland), Leslie Ann Yanagihara (Greg), Colleen & Rachel Loo, Matthew Wong, Kimberlie Clinthorne-Wong (Alex). Great-grandchildren Torin, Theodin & Adeline Srun; Lillian & Olivia Yanagihara; River, Elwood, & Monte Clinthorne-Wong.
Preceded in death by husband, Edmund Hong Tow Loo; parents William Kun Let Leong & Mary Ngan Wong Leong; siblings Clarence Lai Sing Leong, Lawrence Lai Kong Leong, Wallace Lai Wah Leong, Vivian Kwock Ching Leong, Bertha Kwock Hung Leong Lee; and son Peter-James “PJ“ Loo.
