Kay Chong, 79, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026. Born on October 5, 1946, Kay lived a life rich with love, devotion, and the quiet strength that anchored her family through every season.

Kay's greatest joy was her family. She was a loving mother and a cherished grandmother whose warmth touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy lives on most clearly in the family she nurtured and adored.

Kay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roger Chong. Together, they built a life centered on family, creating lasting memories that continue to live on through their loved ones.

She is survived by her two daughters, Deanna Takasawa (Duke) and Reyna Uchida (Evan), and her five cherished grandchildren—Jet, Kaitlyn, Kailee, Brooklyn, and Hudson—who brought her immense joy and pride.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Borthwick Mortuary (Maunakea Chapel):

Service: 11:00 AM

Burial: 2:00 PM at Hawaiian Memorial Park
