Kuulei Lee Carson

Born on March 2, 1931 in Huelo, Maui to Kele and Ilikapeka (Kaea) Kepani and raised with love by her hanai mother, Elizabeth Ka'ili (Kaea) Lee.

On April 21, 1956 she married the love of her life our dad, Hermenegildo Carson Sr. Together they had four children and dad's three children from his previous marriage thus created a blended family.

Mom found great joy in the simple things: tending to the yard, solving word search puzzles, reading her bible and bible literature and listening to music. Her faith as a Jehovah's Witness was her anchor and the Bible her constant companion. She always placed her family above all else and leaves behind memories of laughter, witty-sarcasm and resilient love.

Mom is predeceased by her parents, Kele and Ilikapeka Kepani and her hanai mother, Elizabeth Ka'ili (Kaea) Lee. Her husband, Hermenegildo Carson Sr. Her 4 brothers and 4 sisters from Ohana Kepani and 3 brothers and 1 sister from Ohana Lee and 1 hanai brother.

Her legacy continues through her children: sons, Randall (Claudette) Carson, Vernon (Rita) Carson, Hermenegildo Jr. (Kianna) Carson and her daughters, Rita (Jack) Sanchez-Hager, Rosalind (Kevin) Donovan, Josephine (Eldon) Carson, Danette (Ben) Cadavona. Proud grandmother to 21 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

We are grateful for every moment we shared and will honor her memory by carrying forward the values she instilled in us. Rest in Love, Mom. You will always be in our hearts.

Our family extends our deepest gratitude to Dr. Marian Kolarsky and the dedicated nurses and staff in the ER Department and on the 3rd and 4th floors of Queen's Medical Center West. Your compassion and empathy shown during mom's care provided us with great comfort.

Mom's services will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1005 Lauia Street, Kapolei, Hawaii 96707 on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 2:00pm. Immediately following the service her Celebration of Life will be at the Jim Schuler Pavilion, Pa'ani Park 91-3332 Maohiohi Loop, Ewa Beach, Hawaii 96706 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
