You were my first hero, there when I got my first stitches from watching you shave I fell on the sink and busted my chin lol
But I didn’t care because my Super hero Uncle was there so everything was going to be okay.
As I grieve you, I also rejoice in knowing where you are. You are so loved uncle and you are still the Hero in my life! And so many others too!
You touched so many souls, left your imprint on hundreds of peoples hearts …. Your stain will forever be left on their heart

Les with his great nephews, David and Brandon Coleman at his older sisters, Lani’s house.  

Les was always the fun uncle.  Sometimes, he was the protective uncle.  Like the time he punched my daughters boyfriend in the gut as an introduction. He told the young man, “if you want to date my niece, you have to take a punch in the gut”.  He punched him and dropped him to his knees. He helped him up, told him “nice to meet you, now you better not hurt my niece”.  

Les was a big teddy bear, but you better never mess with his family.  He loved his family!

Together again!

I will miss Les. He was funny, loved animals and his friends. He was always ready to cook or help anyone in need. He was our go to guy. He would always think of our California Highway Dispatchers and officers by cooking breakfast or barbecuing. I called him the Mayor of his street cause he was in charge of the hood parties and saving his friends who had too much to drink. I loved to hear all the stories of the craziness. 

Les, you are gone too soon. Thank you for being my friend and a brother. ❤️
