Lincoln was born on February 19, 1955 in Honolulu. On June 24, 2022 he was called home by his Lord and Savior. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Lincoln graduated from Kalani High School in 1973 then continued his education at University of Hawaii where he earned his bachelor degree in Political Science. He was a very hard worker and was enthusiastic about trying out a variety of jobs at a very young age. He started out washing buses at the Honolulu Airport and enjoyed hanging out with the mechanics who worked nearby. While attending UH, he worked part-time at Sheraton Waikiki’s Ocean Terrace Buffet. After college, he chose a life in public service, worked at OCCC, retiring in 2010 with 32 years of service.
Lincoln enjoyed his retirement for 5 years then returned to the workforce joining Securitas at the Convention Center and Honolulu Airport. He was very quiet, humble and respected by his co-workers. He was a leader with integrity. He retired again in 2021 and wondered what the Lord had planned for him. He was one who could not sit idle. The answer came soon as he embraced his role as caregiver transporting his sister and brother-in-law to appointments and therapy. He did whatever he could because he had a huge love for family. Lincoln has a huge family that love him dearly! As one niece shared, “Uncle was very quiet but in his way he let you know that he cared and loved you.” Another niece shared her thoughts of “his sweet ways and genuine smile and warmth . . . He was quiet with his words and caring with his actions.”
Lincoln loved all kinds of sports but his most favorite was golf and football. He was a proud and true supporter of UH Athletics especially his Warrior football team. He always encouraged parents to get their children involved in sports and when they did, he was there to cheer them on. He believed that sports helped children develop a strong character and with the right guidance they could experience the support, teamwork and leadership roles that could be a benefit to them in future endeavors.
Lincoln is survived by his wife Elesi, step daughters Lisa, Roberta and Phyllis and seven step grandchildren. He will be terribly missed by his siblings Paula Wilson, Paul Isaacs (Lynn), Moana Valdez (Bobby), Roberta Jahrling (Frank) and Uarda Jean Tamura (Les) as well as his nieces, nephews, grand nieces, great grand nieces and nephews and a great, great grand niece. He also leaves behind 3 aunties and many cousin’s and friends.
The Isaacs Ohana would like to thank the doctors, nurses and office staff at Queen’s Medical Center who provided excellent care to Lincoln.
Services will be July 26, 2022 at The Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus. Viewing will be 10-11am. Mass at 11am-12pm. Burial to follow at 1pm, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Cemetery.
