Born October 10, 1925 in Fasitootai, Samoa, she was the daughter of the late Pagaua Fuimaono Lio and Kafoatu. She married Tuli To’omata November 16, 1944.
Lulu was preceded in death by her husband, Tuli To’omata, who died November 13, 1970. Her daughter (Leutu Alaelua) and three sons (Iakopo To’omata, Eteuati To’omata, Maselusi To’omata) also preceded her in death.
She is survived by six of her children. (Salilo Ioapo, Maka To’omata, Fa’alupega Sele, Salilo Pepe To’omata-Vasquez, Mele Langi, Miliela Fia Alofaituli). Also survived by her 30+ grandchildren, 48+ great grandchildren, and 8+ great great grandchildren. A legacy of love.
After her late husband passed Lulu moved to Honolulu Hawaii in the 70’s, where she raised her children. She never remarried and focused on her children and a life on a new island. She was a woman to be felt. Thick skin and a full heart. It is a miracle to make nothing out of something. That is the kind of woman she was.
She was a hard worker. She was a Proverbs 31 woman. Noble and God fearing. She lived a beautiful life. Left a beautiful legacy, in her children and their children and so forth. Her blood lives on in the lives of those connected to her. We are blessed to have experienced her here on earth. We rejoice with great hope, knowing we will see her again!
