Our mom, Lynn, was sassy, strong, funny, and full of personality. She didn’t always have a filter, but she always had heart. She felt everything fully and loved fiercely — and that was exactly how God made her: vibrant, honest, and unforgettable. We’ll always remember her “giggles” and laughing nonstop at every little thing. It was contagious! And you can’t forget her hula hands! Whenever there was music, she couldn’t help but dance. We loved that about her. She was fun to be around and fun to watch! She would go holoholo everywhere…running errands, filling up water jugs, going to swim at the YMCA, picking up or dropping off grandkids, going Bible class at Gram’s house, going shopping (or returning her 15th item of the week, LOL.) She would go all over — retired, free, and having fun! She never missed a game on TV, from NFL, NBA, to MLB — she knew all the stats and she always rooted for the underdogs or the “local boys!” LOL! She also loved watching her favorite game shows like Family Feud and The Price Is Right, always guessing the answers and cheering along. She was the very best mom and an even better Buela, known for spoiling her grandkids, making sure they always felt deeply loved. We’ll miss hearing her greet her grand babies with “Hola mi amor!”
Whether near or far and through all of life’s ups and downs, she was a devoted wife who loved her husband, our dad, dearly. Their story was not without challenges, yet through every high and low, they remained committed to one another. Even during the final chapter of her life, when circumstances kept them physically apart, their love never wavered. They held tightly to the vows they once made — truly living out “in sickness and in health, till death do us part.” Their bond endured, faithful to the very end — a beautiful example of covenant love. We’ll remember her always signing off every message to dad with an “All my love… LH” or “I love you always… LH.” She cherished spending time with her own mom too. They went everywhere together! She loved “catching ride with mom” or going over early to hang out and have coffee with grandma. Now we hold every memory close, grateful for the love she poured into our lives.
Mom was a precious gift from God, a treasure we truly understood only after He called her home. Her absence is felt in everything. Though our hearts ache, we rest in the promise of Heaven — that this separation is only temporary, and one day we will be reunited and embrace her again in the presence of the Lord. Praise be to God!
