Returning from the war he fell madly in love on a blind date, and in 1957 married his beautiful wife Angeline Lee. They had eight wonderful children together, all of whom he was very proud of. He had a fulfilling career at the Hawaiian Electric Company where he worked for 28 years before retiring in 1985 as an Estimator. He also worked for many years bartending at the Ilikai and Ala Moana Hotels until he retired in 2000.
He was a caring man with a quick wit, great sense of humor, and a generous heart. He had an enthusiasm for learning and a passion for sharing his handiwork skills and his love of gardening. No one could deny that his favorite activity was spending time with his family whom he devoted his life to. Some of his children and grandchildren’s best memories were playing silly games, baking cupcakes, having him participate in their activities, camping, family picnics, traveling, and working on numerous family projects together.
