

Midasy Otis Aisek (1945-2026) passed away peacefully on April 25, 2026, surrounded by his family in Honolulu, Hawaii. Midasy graduated from Truk High School and went on to further his studies at the School of Theology at Silliman University Divinity School, Philippines. He later graduated from Papua New Guinea School of Law and went on to establish his career in the legal profession in Chuuk, Micronesia. At the height of his career, he served as an Associate Judge at the Chuuk State Supreme Court. Besides his legal career, together with his wife, he was also known in the business community in Chuuk.
They own and operate several stores in Chuuk and one in Honolulu, Hawaii. He married his wife, Rosario (Sally) Aisek in 1975 and together they raised five children, Merlyn Grace Aisek Mida (+), Rowena Aisek, Midasy Junior Aisek (Jay), Mae Stephanie Aisek Narruhn, and Otis Aisek (Sami).
Midasy was a simple and humble man who cared deeply for his family and his community. He was kind-hearted and he was a man of few words, but when he did speak, his words spoke volumes.
Midasy is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosario (Sally) Aisek; his children, Rowena, Jay, Mae, and Sami; and his grandchildren, Aruhn, Kairuhn, Navruhn, Setipwin, Zya, Otis, and Jonah. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis Ochu and Rosy Duupun.
A service will be held at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea/Vineyard, 1330 Maunakea St., Honolulu, HI 96817, USA on May 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM.
