Norlan M Macanas

Norlan M. Macanas, died on September 27, 2014 at Kahuku Medical Center. He was born on March 29, 1955 in Kahuku, Hawaii where he grew up. His parents were Marcelo and Magdalena Macanas. He is the 3rd son of 7 children. He attended Kahuku HIgh School where he graduated in 1973. He retired from TSA in 2013 and therefore returned home to Hawaii in 2013 to enjoy his childhood home. He was married to Gale Wyatts Macanas.for 28 years before her death in 2011. He is survived by his 2 daughters, Lindy Pierce (Robert) and Tonya DuBroc and 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren all living in Louisiana.

He is also survived by 3 brothers, Dalmar (Paula), Meldon (Heather) and Aronne Macanas and sister, Arlene Zlotucha (David). He has 18 nieces and nephews along with 17 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers Rodwin and Edward.

Norlan was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, brother and uncle. He was the cook and photograhper of our family. He will be forever missed and always remembered.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Roch Catholic Church 56-350 Kamehameha Hwy Kahuku, Hawaii 96731 on Tuesday,October 7, 2014 at 11:30am to celebrate his life.
