Rachel Ogasawara Nemoto, 53, beloved wife, mother, sister, and daughter passed away on 8/16/14, one day after her birthday. She was born in Wailuku, Maui and was a graduate of Maui High School (’79) and the University of Hawaii (’83). She began her career in the tourist industry working for Hankyu Express and JTB, and later taught Japanese language at Kailua Intermediate School and Kalaheo High School. Rachel is survived by her husband Nathan, children Richelle and David, sisters Laura Lum, Kathryn Miller, Ruth Takemoto, Amy Cieslik, and Faye Ogasawara, and father Edwin Ogasawara.
Funeral services will be held on September 6, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary - Maunakea Chapel. Visitation will be at 3pm and service will begin at 4:30pm.
Casual attire suggested.
