Maunaloa, Moloka’i. He served in the USMC during the Korean War. He retired from the U.S.
Postal Service as a Letter Carrier. Raymond is survived by Mildred, his devoted wife of 61
years; his children Raymond Jr., of Lana’i, Susan (Alex) Rothhammer, Amy (Troy) Tajiri, Jon
(NoeNoe) Barona; his grandchildren Dominique (Jason) Say, Donovan Martinez, of Utah,
Christopher, Tori-May, and Ryan Tajiri, Jacob and Julia Barona. He is also survived by his sister
Loretta Santiago of Moloka’i, and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was an avid bowler, a
terrific harmonica player and a very humble man.
Services will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Kaimuki, on Thursday, June 13, 2019. Visitation
9:30 to 10:30, mass at 11:00. Burial at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe at 2:00 p.m.
