96, of Honolulu peacefully passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022 after a brief illness at the Hale Malamalama nursing home. He was born in Canton, China in the village of Chung Shan on July 23, 1925 and moved to Hawaii with his family at the age of 11.
Richard served in the Armed Forces during WWII as an aircraft mechanic and retired in 1960 as an Aircraft Engine Foreman at Hickam Air Force Base. After his retirement from Hickam, he became a realtor broker and insurance agent.
Richard is survived by his wife Wai Wah, son Ronald (Sun Young), daughters Evelyn Koyama (Glen), Sharon Nakamoto (Wayne), and Patricia Ann Sakata (David); brother Raymond, sister Mildred Chun; 8 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Private Services.
